All of us at Parkinson Lane School would like to thank Mrs Paulette Noot for all her hard work over the last 18 years with us.
Children presently and of the past have benifited from her highly skilled teaching methods, which have brought rich rewards for so many.
We are also very pleased that although she has retired she is coming back on a supply basis for two days a week.
Thank you!!!!

Qasim's 30 - minute poem lands him award for penmanship..
Qasim was one of 30,000 school children to enter the national 'Write Here Write Now' competition run by the Department for Education and Skills. He won the Yorkshire and Humberside regional final with his poem The Phoenix.
Qasim said "I wrote the poem in about 30 minutes and it was really fun to do. I like English but my favourite subjet is art. When I grow up I want to be an archaeologist because then I get to dig up bones and learn about old history".
Children aged 8 to 10 were invited to enter one of four categories in the competion - creative writing, poetry, persuasive writing and journalism. Entrants were encouraged to write their piece following on from a paragraph written by a well-known author or poet.
